Project Overview

The historic re-alignment and shifting of conferences from the PAC12 to the BIG10, the University of Oregon needed a creative direction for the monumental moment. We were tasked with just that- creatively concept a plan producing compelling videos. After a quick thought, went with highlighting the rich history and top 10 moments of the Oregon Ducks sports program aimed to celebrate the legacy of the university and its athletic department as they transition into the BIG10.

THE CHALLENGE

The project posed several significant challenges that our team successfully navigated. Sourcing historical assets required extensive collaboration with the university’s archivists and athletic department to identify and access impactful moments through video, photographs, and documents. Ensuring the authenticity of the content was crucial, demanding thorough research and communication to accurately represent the Ducks’ storied past. Creating engaging content that resonates emotionally with the audience required dynamic editing and compelling storytelling through creative direction. Managing tight deadlines demanded efficient project management and a rigorous production schedule to deliver high-quality videos on time for the official move from the PAC12 to the BIG10. Despite these challenges, our team’s dedication and strategic solutions ensured the project’s success.

THE SOLUTION

These hype videos enhance the in-arena experience, serving as a testament to the university’s proud sports heritage. We produced a series of videos for the University of Oregon’s social media channels, as well as those of their partners, including the NCAA and the BIG10. These videos encapsulate the top moments in the Ducks’ sports history, illustrating the university’s rich athletic legacy as they make the historic and monumental move into the BIG10 Conference.

A significant part of this project involved sourcing various assets from the university’s archives. Our team, in collaboration with the athletic department, meticulously combed through historical moments, photographs, and documents to create mix-media assets to integrate into the videos that ensures the authenticity representing the Ducks’ storied past while directing focus and attention to the new era ahead.
